Just refurbished to be brighter, lighter and warmer!

Here is a place where babies, toddlers and older children can happily and safely climb, clamber, slide, swing and explore – whatever the Lancashire weather. You, meanwhile, can enjoy a fresh brew and a slice of something delicious.

Confident toddlers and children up to 12* love our fantastic flying fox swing, wonderfully bumpy four-lane slide, aerial rope bridge, huge scramble net, and super squeezy rollers. They will also love the different challenges and games set on each of our four stories.
Young toddlers and babies delight in our dedicated section. It features padded slides, steps, blocks, wobbly characters, shiny mirrors, fun puzzles and other equipment designed to promote agility, mental development but, best of all, fun.

Times & prices

The PlayBarn is open everyday from 10am, closing at 5pm on weekdays and 4.30pm on the weekend. It is free for babies and for very young toddlers who are happy to stay and play purely in the baby section dedicated to wee ones. For all other children, an hour and half session costs £4. If you bring three or more children it costs £3.50 per child. During term time there is a special after school rate of only £2.50 per child and we have pocket money sweet treats available from just 20p.

Special Events

Why don’t you come and join us for an extra special time in the PlayBarn. You and your little one can join us every Wednesday and Thursday during term-time for Parent & Toddler Sessions. It is £2.50 per child and includes juice and biscuits bewteen 10am – 12noon.

We’re also really excited that Jo Jinlges is going to be joining us at The PlayBarn this spring. Jo Jingles is all about providing fun and interactive music, singing and movement classes to pre-school and nursery children. Little Kickers is starting in February when you’re little ones can have a bit fun and gain some extra confidence and co-ordination with the help of a football! Fridays starting 3rd February
10.00 – 10.30am “Little Kicks”, 1½ – 2yrs+3mths
10.30 – 11.15am “Junior Kickers”, 2 – 3½ yrs.

Parties

We can do great (and stress-free!) parties from £8.00 per child and amazing exclusive parties in the evenings where you’ll get the whole PlayBarn to yourselves (minimum 15 children).
