Welcome

We’re all about bringing people together to enjoy some of life’s simple pleasures

Couples, friends and families can have a wonderful day out with us (whatever the Lancashire weather brings!)

On our open farm you can pat storybook farm animals, ride a horse and trap, pedal (size permitting!) a mini tractor, lark about in a straw play barn, race round the barn on the go-carts and picnic by the paddocks.

In our artisan village, you can meet talented crafts people, discover regional produce, savour home cooked fayre, and treat yourself to hand-selected gifts, plants and wines.

Enjoy it all!

What is happening at Greenlands…….

Reduced Farm Entry
THIS WEEKEND ONLY
As an extra special treat for this weekend, we’ve reduced the entry price for the Open Farm. It’ll be £3 per person or a family ticket will be £10 this Satruday and Sunday ONLY.

Vintage Metal Rally
Something a little bit different is happening at Greenlands on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May – we’ve got a Vintage Metal Rally being hosted on site. You’ll have a chance to see classic tractors, wagons, motor bikes, vintage tractors, cars, models and much much more. Tickets are £4 per adult and accompanied children are free, gates open at 10am.

It’s Time for Wine
WineTime is excited about their new range of wines from a boutique vineyard in the Barossa Valley (Australia) called the Lou Miranda Estate. They are exclusive to WineTime and Geoff tells me they’re really rather nice!

Jubilee Weekend
Come and celebrate the Jubilee with us at Greenlands in June – all kings, queens, prince and princesses will get into the Open Farm for free!! We’ll have crown decorating, a “jewel hunt” (bit like a treasure hunt), quizzes and an extra special Wellies menu – more details to be posted soon.

Champagne Evening
This popular event has come round again, how time flies. On Saturday 30th June WineTime will be hosting a fabulous champagne tasting reception in Wellies Cafe and you will have the opportunity to try at least 8 champagnes from 4 houses whilst enjoying delicious canapes. This will be followed by a fabulous 2 course dinner prepared by the Wellies Kitchen Team. For tickets contact WineTime, £33 per head – booking is essential and the event does sell out, so dont leave it too long.

Toddler Terrific Play Days
Here’s yet another reason for you and yours to visit our PlayBarn, this time on a Wednesday or Thursday. On these days we have a fun (and purse-friendly) play n’ dine offer for parents and toddlers. Children can play in our soft play centre from 10am to 12noon for just £2.50, and help themselves to a free juice and biccies. Afterwards children can dine for half price on a child’s meal with every adult meal (excluding soup and side orders) over in our café. It’s a great midweek treat.(term-time only)

Lambing time
It’s that exciting time of year that can’t help but put a smile on your face seeing young lambs springing in the fields. Our Education Barn is currently home to a variety of sheep that: have lambed, are lambing and will lamb. If you are lucky enough one might just lamb whilst you are here. As is the case with all lambs, occasionally we need to hand rear some of them and you can give us a help, at around 11am and 2pm everyday we bottle feed these lambs.

Morning Tea Monday
Speaking of a treat … This is nice a way to start the week. On a Monday you will receive a complimentary scone, with jam and cream, when you buy any hot drink in Wellies Cafe between 10am and 12noon. Perfect.

Two for a Tenner Tuesday
Still on the theme of our Café, if you’re free on a Tuesday, come with a friend and the two of you can order two soups, two sandwiches and two cuppas for a total of, yes, £10.

Chainsaw Carving Demos
Elsewhere on-site, be sure to look out for Rolande, local artist extraordinaire, who uses a chainsaw to turn logs into incredible carvings. Rolande tends to do her exciting demonstration 12-5pm, Thursday to Sunday. To check exact times call Rolande on 07831 896541.

Drop-in Pottery Sessions
If you enjoy all things creative, remember that our resident ceramist Wyn Abbot is continuing to run regular drop-in have-a-go pottery classes for children and adults at set times on Saturdays and Sundays. To find out the latest times call Wyn on 01524 784184.
